Ultrasound

Ultrasound creates images of internal organs of the body from sound waves. These images are called Sonograms. Sonograms/Ultrasound services are used in pregnant women as well as non-pregnant women. In pregnant women, a sonogram may be done for several reasons such as to assess fetal growth and well being, or to determine the baby’s due date. It can also help diagnose problems in pregnancy such as ectopic pregnancies (pregnancies outside the uterus), bleeding during pregnancy and fetal abnormalities. At Lincoln Center, we do sonograms only when medically indicated. We no longer offer 3D/4D sonograms for entertainment. Ultrasound is also used in non-pregnant women for a variety of reasons such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, IUD placement and infertility.

Lincoln Center offers an ultrasound lab at both of our locations. Our clinic maintains the highest standards in the performance of diagnostic ultrasound examinations. Our physicians are dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in ultrasound. All of our sonographers have completed extensive training and each one is credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Our sonographers have a combined experience of more than 55 years in OB/GYN ultrasound.
