Midwives and APRN's

Leslie is a certified Nurse-Midwife. She completed her BS in Nursing at Washburn University and her MS in Nursing at the University of Kansas. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. In addition to her office duties, Ms. Arnold has privileges at both The University of Kansas St. Francis Campus and Stormont Vail hospitals and attends patients during labor and delivery. Prior to joining Lincoln Center, Ms. Arnold worked as a charge nurse in The Birthplace at Stormont Vail. She was a Childbirth Educator from 1995-2008 and a Clinical Instructor for the Baker University School of Nursing in 2008 as well as for Neosho County Community College from 2004-2006. She was a Senior Nursing School Instructor for the Kaw Area Teaching School from 2003-2004. She began her career at Lincoln Center in 2010. When not in clinic she enjoys time with her husband and 2 children, cooking, reading, and relaxing on the beach.

Trish is a Certified Nurse Midwife. She completed her BS in Nursing at Emporia State University and her MS in Nursing at the University of Kansas. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and is board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. In addition to her office duties, Mrs. Hoelting has privileges at both the University of Kansas St. Francis Campus and Stormont Vail hospitals and attends patients during labor and delivery. Prior to joining Lincoln Center, Mrs. Hoelting worked as a full scope Midwife in Emporia, KS for 7 years. She began her career at Lincoln Center in 2020. When not working, she enjoys her husband and 4 boys, watching her boys play sports and rodeo, running and time spent with friends and family.

Rita Ortiz, DNP APRN CNM, is Certified Nurse-Midwife. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Washburn University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kansas. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and is board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. As a CNM, Rita provides low-risk obstetrical care and well women care including annual exams, STI screening, family planning, and non-complicated gynecologic problems. Prior to joining Lincoln Center, she was a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery for thirteen years. She previously was a Clinical Adjunct Instruction with Washburn University. Rita Ortiz is passionate about empowering women through education, advocacy for healthcare equity, elimination of health disparities, and utilizing evidence-based practices in the care she provides. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her son and being with her family and friends.

Ms. Schwartz completed her BS in nursing at Washburn University in 2002, graduating with nursing honors and magna cum laude. She completed her MS in nursing, women’s Health nurse practitioner tract at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She is board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner through the National Certification Corporation. She worked as a registered nurse at The Birthplace at Stormont-Vail prior to joining the Lincoln Center. She also was a Childbirth Educator at Stormont-Vail from 2004-2009.
